Bramley & Romans Floral Society

spring flower arrangement A small flower arranging society formed in 1978 that meets in Bramley Village Hall on the first Friday of each month at 7.30 pm, with the exception of January, August and February (used for the AGM).

Evenings start with light refreshments followed by a demonstration.  Arrangements are then raffled and 5 or 6 lucky ladies go home with a lovely prize!

There is a small cost for visitors, which will be deducted from that very reasonable annual membership should you choose to join.

Newcomers are always welcome – you don’t need to have knowledge of flower arranging.

SingBramley Needs You !

weneedyouRehearsals are in full swing and we now have a few events planned for later on in the year for which details will be announced in the near future.

We are always on the lookout for new members, but we especially need more ‘men’. There are guys from their early twenties, right through to how shall I best say it, post retirement, but we do need more to boost the ranks and help readdress the balance against the number of ladies in our choir.

Remember, there are no auditions, no stress or worrying about being made to sing solo in front of anyone. The primary objective is for you to turn up and have fun, enjoy singing and have a great time.

So if you can spare a few hours one night a week, just pop along and give it a try. It will cost you nothing but your time.

When: Tuesday evenings
What time: 7.30pm until 9.30pm
Where: Bramley Room, Bramley Village Hall

For more details, see the SingBramley | Bramley Community Choir website.

Strangers In The Night

Around 10.30pm late last night (Monday 5th April), I was surprised by two Policemen walking past my back fence in the fields (which are behind the village hall).
Apparently, they were looking for someone who had ‘gone missing’ from a local home who they thought might have wandered into the fields towards Bramley Frith.

Please leave a comment below if you have any information or if you saw anything strange in your neighbourhood.

Bramley Community Choir invites you to Sing-Along-A-Christmas at the Bramley Village Hall on December 20th from 2pm – 4pm.

After the success of the Sing-Along-A-Musicals, this next event is one for all the family, both young and old alike.

Just a good old sing song of all your favourite Christmas carols to get yourself in the mood for having a great Christmas.

Fed up with all that Christmas shopping?
Fancy a break from the shopping you’ve still have left to do?
Take a few hours out of your Sunday afternoon and come enjoy the relaxing atmosphere of a few carols, a wee drink or two and the odd mince pie.

Bramley Community Choir will be leading the singing, so all you have to do is join in (words will be provided just in case).
